Jabeh App Reviews

Good at first...

I <3 this game BUT after playing it quite a bit I began to realize that each level has only so many boards. It *says* new boards are uploaded each time the app starts but I open and close it several times a day and its not really fun anymore bc I keep getting the same puzzles. Ive gotten some so often that I have them memorized. Not worth the $2.99 theyre asking, $.99 maybe. But this game definitely needs some improvement.

Jabeh

AWESOME GAME!! definitly the best puzzle game out there! 5/5 stars. ~iMario from MacThemes :)

Awesome, but needs more sounds

Lve the game, even at 4.99. It needs some subtle sounds during game play -right now there are none, other than the optional music. Also, a button to check your progress during a game would be useful - such as ssying if therecsre sny errors or not. Besides that, it is absolutely perfect.

I need more

I love this game, but for $4.99, the puzzles shouldnt be repeating by the second day. There needs to be many more puzzles and additional background artwork. I dont feel like the full version gives me that much more than the lite one did. Expand on these points and this game will be phenomenal.

Best game ever

This is perhaps the most fun and challenging game out there. Its essentially a better minesweeper without the luck. A couple suggestions; 1: super hard puzzle of the day/week for when hard isnt hard enough. 2. Are you sure button for new game Absolutely a first page app. Thank you arash (you to, lou)

What happen to the logic?

The Easy level is very enjoyable for awhile, but then you need to move on. It may be just me, but the logic, on the Medium level, seems to break down. You seem to be left with two options. Either get a Hint or make a guess. After you block out any 0s and block in behind the parallel arrows in the 1s, you are done. At that point you usually must guess. Guessing ruins it for me. I have paid 5 bucks for a game that exhausts itself quickly.

Excellent but limited

This is a wonderful logic puzzle, and can be quite challenging. I enjoy playing it very much, but it seems to have a VERY limited number of puzzles. I know I have played some of them more than once, but the app doesnt indicate a puzzle as having been played before. I have only had the app for a couple days, but I think Ive played all the intermediate level panels. A nice game that need expansion.

Its worth it

The Lite version of this got me hooked, and I dont feel the $5 price tag on this was too much. Its great fun and superbly designed. But it does need a couple things: way to differentiate solved/unsolved puzzles, and some notification when new puzzles are downloaded (perhaps it already does this and none have been released since I bought it?).

ok but

This app is too expensive for $5. Please consider lowering the price.

Superb app - gorgeous interface

This game is a wonderful experience... The game plays perfectly so far, and the ambience is inviting and pleasurable. I love the interface and artwork. The soundtrack is lovely yet not overwhelming. In fact, this is the only app where I leave the music on. I hope to see more games, artwork, and apps from Arash Payan.

Love it!

By far the best Shinro game out there. I have the app bargain bin which shows all the apps that go discounted and free fir a limited time, and shinro mines was one of them, so I got it for free. After loving the gameplay, I searched shinro in the app store and jabeh showed up, I downloaded the lite version and played it for a while, but couldnt bring myself to buy it, until I watched the hard level tutorial video, and I realized that this game has such an interesting deeper level of thinking that the other shinro games didnt have. Combined with the nicely polished graphics and music and even easier controls than other games, I decided to buy it, and I love it! That was 3 days ago. Today is the 4th of July and jabeh is $1.99, thats the only disappointing part...

A must have

I cant believe ppl leave bad reviews just cuz they cannot solve the puzzles themselves. Every puzzle here can be solved with logic alone, even the hard levels, by process of elimination. Aside from that I do agree w other reviews that it would be great to number each puzzle so u know which one u have solved already or can try to beat ur previous best time. It would be good to have new puzzles added also.

Version 1.4 is a great improvement on a good game

Version 1.4 definitely made this game more fun & compelling to play. Thanks!

Excellent game

This is the only game I consistently go back to. Only downside is that I need more boards! I would totally pay for an in-app type upgrade for a new set of boards. And the developer is very responsive. Highly recommended.

Quality Puzzle Game for the iPhone

I find this game to be very enjoyable, nice to look at, challenging and well worth the price for the full version. The graphics and animations are nicely done and with the latest update, the puzzle selection is also quite good. It is a great game with which to kill a few minutes. I have had no issues with crashes or lock-ups. There are a couple things that could be improved: its a little easy to accidentally change what youve marked a square by bumping the screen, etc. The ability to "lock" a square to a stone or a blank would be helpful. Also some sort of chart showing which puzzles Ive solved and which I havent done would be a nice feature. Overall, I recommend this app to anyone looking for a nice looking, quality puzzle game for the iPhone or iPod Touch.

Fun game

I love Japanese logic puzzles like slitherlink, Sudoku, etc., and so this fits the bill nicely. Although I must say that I am not finding many of the "hard" puzzles especially difficult, most are pretty straightforward once you have figured out the couple of tricks to solve these. Ive also run into one or two that dont have a unique solution, but that is rare. Only complaints- I have no idea what puzzles I have completed, a list of some type would be nice. I dont know if I have run through all of the puzzles yet. Locking the board and being able to reset back to where youve locked it would be nice too, right now I do screen shots and then go back and reset the board if I need to based on the screen shot.

Very engaging game

Music gets a little old after a while. Price is steep for a puzzle app-but it is one youll hang on to. Try the lite version and if you like it cough up the $5 b/c its not a "deleter".

Should be top 25

This game is so awesome and what I call a true diamond in the rough. For fans of puzzle logic games, just buy it now! Everyone else, just buy it. Its never leaving my iPhone unless the game runs out of different puzzles. Jabeh is placed on my first page along side all the other great apps. Way to go guys for making such an addictive intriguing extremely polished game. An update or two could and should put this game in the top 25.

Great Shinro game

Theres another Shinro app on here that isnt nearly as good. This one does everything right: Handcrafted puzzles rather than generated ones. Puzzles with one unique solution. And finally, great care has been taken to make gameplay as smooth and friendly as possible. Marking off eliminated squares is super easy, just drag your thumb along the row. This might not sound like much, but it makes a huge difference, especially when youre going for speed.

Great logic puzzle game!

Jabeh is a fantastic puzzle game! Its similar to the classic game of Minesweeper, but far more fun in my opinion! The gameplay is very intuitive, and the graphics and music are superbly done. I was very pleased with the Lite version of the game, and had to buy the full version! I highly recommend this game! I you like logic puzzles like Sudoku or Minesweeper, youve got to try out this game!
